With its tall red cliffs, awe-inspiring hikes, and stunning vistas, Zion National Park has become one of the most popular national parks in the country. The park offers a range of unique hikes for for all ages and abilities.

Do note that in order to reduce congestion inside the park, there is a shuttle system in place during the park's peak season (April-October). A reservation is also required, so plan accordingly.

1. The Narrows

One of Zion's most iconic hikes, the Narrows offers hikers the unforgettable experience of hiking directly in the north fork of the Virgin River, through the narrowest section of the Zion Canyon.

2. Canyon Overlook

All the epic views without much effort. Canyon Overlook offers dramatic views of the Zion Canyon and the switchbacks of Highway 9. Come for the sunset - it is pure magic!

3. Angels Landing

Diffitculty: Strenuous Length: 5.4 miles (4-5 hours) Elevation Gain: 1488 feet Learn more

One of the most famous and thrilling hikes in Zion! Ascend on steep switchbacks and then scale a razor-thin ridge with the help of metal chains. You will be rewarded with a stunning and expansive view of the canyon from almost 6000 feet above.

4. The Watchman

Difficulty: Moderate Length: 3.3 miles (2 hours) Elevation Gain: 368 feet

An awesome hike for when you are short on time and/or hoping to escape crowds. The Watchman trail offers amazing views of its namesake rock, one of the most iconic in Zion. The trail starts from the Visitors Center, making it a good option if you cannot secure a shuttle reservation.
