Where to watch  the sunset in

SAN  FRANCISCO

Sam Francisco has no shortage of natural beauty, panoramic cityscapes, and postcard-worthy views.  They are all especially stunning at sunset! Here are some of the best sunset spots in the city.

Twin Peaks

Thanks to its elevation and location smack dab in the middle of the city, you'll find panoramic views of downtwn San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, and beyond.

Battery Spencer

Where to go for postcard-worthy views of a Golden Gate Bridge - it is especially stunning at sunset. (Bring a jacket though - it's windy!)

Sutro Baths

Golden hour is absolutely magical here, with the rays of the sun kissing the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean. Also check out Lands End.

Golden Gate Overlook

A popular spot with local photographers because of the way the eucalyptus trees perfectly frame the vertically stacked towers of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Ina Coolbrith Park

Come here to watch the lights of downtown San Francisco's skyscrapers twinkle against the twilight sky.

Marshall's Beach

Getting here involves a hike (and an uphill stair climb on the way back), giving this beach a secret, secluded feel. It's worth it for the Golden Gate Bridge views!

Bay Bridge Lights

Every night, the thousands of LED lights on the Bay Bridge Lights installation creates a dazzling, twinkly display against the cotton candy sky.
